It’s that special time of year where our Contracts designers swap flowers for fir trees as they prepare to deck the halls of London’s finest venues. The season is off to a magnificent start - with The Connaught receiving a glowing overnight yuletide transformation.

The iconic Christmas tree in Chandos Place creates a flurry of festive magic before you even step foot in the iconic establishment - this year designed by esteemed artist, Rachel Whiteread. As you enter the lobby, you’ll be met with the most timeless of scenes - the majestic mahogany staircase and art deco detail offer up the perfect canvas to adorn with the most quintessentially opulent display. Naturally all eyes gravitate towards the floor-to-ceiling tree sitting proudly at the foot of the stairs - resplendent with burnished glass ornaments - its theme gracefully extending into garlands ascending along the twinkling bannisters.

Every nook and cranny of the hotel has received a festive facelift. We couldn’t think of a cosier corner for a nightcap than by the roaring hearth - the majestic fireplace adorned with a seasonal bounty swaths of fir, copper asparagus fern, thistles and eucalyptus emanating warmth and a truly enchanting ambience.
